Which new designer was your favorite? Personally I liked Manus Gabriil (As you might remember, I met him in person in his show's make up rehearsal) and Maria Tagalou (She won the Mercedes-Benz fashion award for innovation and top aesthetic), they both are talented and promising designers.

13th AXDW- Day 3

On Sunday I visited the Athens Conference Center once again, because Mercedes-Benz Athens Xclusive Designers Week took place there. Except for the fashion shows, there were drinks and snacks, and of course some pop-up stores, such as Underground store and Patricia Field store:

H&M conscious exclusive event

On Thursday, besides the TOMS spring preview at Kolonaki, Mika and I also attended the H&M Conscious Exclusive event. I already presented you the Conscious Exclusive collection here, and now you can take a closer look at the dreamy clothes:

The guests enjoyed drinks and finger food, and had a 20% discount at all the H&M collections except for the Conscious Exclusive one.

This dress was love at first sight, I had to bought it.

These shoes are made of real leather and are really pretty and affordable. I added them to my wishlist!

Except for the dress, I also bought a small gift for my special one.

TOMS event: the spring 2013 collection

Last night Mika and I visited TOMS pop up store at Kolonaki for the preview of the spring 2013 collection. Let me show you the photos I took:

My news: Besides the uni classes, today I'm attending 2 events at Kolonaki and of course Athens Xclusive Fashion week is starting on Friday (I've already posted the schedule here). It's going to be a long weekend, but I'm not really complaining. AXDW is the unofficial fashion bloggers meeting after all and I look forward to it!

I'm your national anthem

Here is what I wore at the AXDW make-up rehearsal the day before yesterday: Yes, I know I wore this H&M pants recently but I simply can't resist to this baby pink color! Plus, I wanted to create an outfit that will shout out: Spring is here!



This is a simple and comfy, yet preppy outfit for the days that you're not into skirts or dresses: The basic colors are pink, white and grey in different hues. The shoes can be ballerinas, with low heels like mine or even high heels, if you are not going to walk much. You can also add a statement necklace with flowers and a few romantic bracelets (I could not wear accessories except for earrings, because I had practical classes in the university earlier, Animal Physiology to be more specific)



The photos were taken at Zappeion, I met my boyfriend when I was done with the rehearsal and he suggested to take the outfit photos there. That was a really nice idea, I love the background.

Manus Gabriil AXDW show: The make-up rehearsal

Yesterday afternoon I was invited to the make-up rehearsal for the Mercedes-Benz Athens Xclusive Designers Week show of the new designer Manus Gabriil. The make-up was done by Emmanuel Apostolakis, Head Make-up artist of Make up Forever in Greece, and the model was Niki, one of the 10 models chosen by the designer for his show. Let me show you the exclusive photos I took, just for you:



The make-up was inspired by the Lanvin F/W show: Smokey eyes, bold eyebrows and nude lips. I also asked Manos about the hairstyle: He said that the hair will be parted and a loose ponytail will be made. He doesn't want a sleek look, the ponytail will look like the model made it by herself.



Manos also gave us a hint about the collection he will present: 'black and white tailoring'. It sounds really interesting, so make sure you won't miss his AXDW runway show!



Did I mention that the make-up was made with Make up Forever products? Emmanuel was kind enough to give me a few samples to try them out myself.

Les Misérables

 

These pics were taken on a rainy day, I went at my boyfriend's house for a visit. He recently bought the book 'Les Misérables' because he hasn't read it yet (neither have I, to be honest, I recently finished reading the Silmarillion) and I borrowed it to accompany me in today's outfit post.



All the outfit is about the high-waist shorts I bought a long time ago from H&M, because it reminded me of those Dita Von Teese wears. I tried to combine it with a white shirt, burgundy tights and pumps before, but the result was a little extravagant. That day though I figured out that, if combined with leggins in a total black outfit, it actually looks nice and simple (ok, simple for a girl who listens to metal music, but you get it).



So, about my news: The semester has already started and I have to attend my uni classes everyday, but I'm not really complaining. I also learned that one of my friends is coming to Athens next week (he studies at Thessaloniki) and we're planning to go at a costume party or something. I have already bought myself a new wig I craved for a long time.and cannot wait to wear it! What about you, do you have any plans for Mardi Gras?

Where the wild roses grow

So, spring is officially here and we all dream of girlie dresses and flowers, but it's still kinda cold, I stayed in bed all morning yesterday because I was ill. Anyway, let me show you what I wore some days ago, when my boyfriend and I went shopping at the Mall Athens:

This is my new H&M pink pants (I think you all know I'm a sucker for cute, pink stuff), I combined it with a comfy Zara jumper, all-stars and my Le Pandorine bag to create a casual outfit.

And this is the rose Nikos gifted me that day, he's waaay too sweet.
